Medical Education Unit

The Medical Education Unit of our institution chaired by the Respected Dean and guided by our Vice Principal is committed to building  a team of committed teachers among the medical fraternity, quite often overshadowed by their roles as a clinician and a researcher. The MEU conducts regular faculty development programs and online webinars (especially during covid) organized by a team of well trained members. In addition, the academic in charge faculty of the various departments are apprised of the information about various curricular reforms in alignment with the NMC norms through periodic sensitisation programs.

The learning and teaching activities including preparation of lesson plan and assessment with emphasis on students feedback along with induction programs for  interns and post graduates are various measures addressed towards continuous improvement in implementation and effective delivery of medical curriculum. The successful national level workshop on manuscript writing “MEDIPEN” and first ever National Hybrid Conference in Medical Education – MedED CONnect’24 along with a workshop on Qualitative Research and Artificial Intelligence in Review of Literature conducted last year in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine stands testament to the innovative spirit of the unit. The approach of MEU is student-centered, utilising the technical expertise of each faculty of respective core disciplines of our institution.
